Book Life 2016

For Those Who Love Books and Enjoy Experiences
That Bring Books to Life

The Palm Beach County Library System is proud to present the third annual Book Life series, a month of activities and experiences designed for those who love to read. This year, we have selected two books exploring journeys; the literal and figurative, the personal and shared, and their power to define or redefine all who proceed along the various emerging paths.

The featured books for Book Life 2016 are:

  • "Carrying Albert Home: The Somewhat True Story of a Man, His Wife, and Her Alligator," by Homer Hickham
  • "Find a Way," by Diana Nyad

Discover the reading selections and enjoy a total of 11 educational, engaging experiences inspired by the books. Activities, events and book discussions will be held at various library branches and community locations throughout the month of September.

This series is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Palm Beach County Library System. Please consider joining the Friends; find out more about them by visiting www.pbclibrary.org/friends.

To register for select off-site activities, return here one week prior to the date of the event.

Print and digital copies (including eAudiobooks) of both titles are available via our catalog; visit www.pbclibrary.org and click "Books, CDs, & DVDs."
